Wink Bingo Winner Remembers Old Debt

Wink Bingo player Myra Carbin won a massive £25,000 last September playing a guaranteed jackpot promotional bingo game at this UK bingo site. The win was a complete surprise for her as she had purchased her tickets in advance and since forgotten about them. She was therefore quite shocked when she got the news that she had won this enormous jackpot worth £25,000 that was up on offer on the Big O guaranteed jackpot bingo game at Wink Bingo.

“I am in complete and utter disbelief….I can’t even remember buying the tickets… To be honest, I thought it was a hoax call that’s why I called up the security department because I thought somebody hacked into your system or something…” is what she said when she was contacted after she won that massive Big O £25,000 prize at Wink Bingo. Since then Myra and her family with her four children have enjoyed a super holiday at Disneyland Paris and her house has also had a makeover.

Yet, in all the fun and excitement of winning this massive jackpot and enjoying it with her family Myra remembered a promise she had made some years ago. Six years ago when Myra’s daughter Niave was just a four week old infant, Niave was diagnosed with a life threatening heart condition. The valves of her heart were not functioning properly; in fact they were pumping her blood the wrong way. The little baby had no more than an hour to live, her doctor said. Niave was rushed to the John Radcliffe Hospital where specialists performed emergency bypass surgery that saved her life.

After this traumatic experience Myra promised herself that some day she would do something for this hospital and the doctors and nurses who helped save her little girl. “We said on that day that if we ever got the chance, we’d give something back to them. After the win we remembered how each piece of equipment had a little plaque on saying who had donated it so we thought that would be perfect. They use so many of the machines that we hope a new one will be a good help to them.”

Myra and her husband have donated £700 to buy the hospital a special machine for the intensive care unit that cares for critically ill infants. This machine injects drugs automatically into the babies at timed intervals and thus frees the nurses up a little so they have one less thing to do out of their infinite duties in the Intensive care unit for infants at John Radcliffe Hospital.

Niave has been under the care of the Paediatric Intensive care unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital since and is six years old today.

The Carbins never forgot their debt to this group of dedicated doctors and nurses and made this gesture of thanks as soon as the opportunity presented itself to them. They did enjoy their windfall and they shared some of it with the John Radcliffe Hospital too.
