Wink Bingo TV Adverts

Wink Bingo are currently on their latest online bingo TV advert campaign called “celebrate” which dictates an online bingo player literally dancing on the ceiling after having a win whilst playing at their bingo site. Wink Bingo have been on many advertising campaigns in the past and they have also released a number of different viral ads, which can all be viewed from the Wink Bingo TV advert section of their online bingo site.

With the ASA banning lots of gaming ads over recent months online bingo sites along with casino sites must release new ads now with a bit of trepidation because as we have seen many, many times in the past it only takes one viewer to make a formal complaint about an advert to make the ASA take a look at it and subsequently ban it from being aired on TV again, if they feel it has broke the gaming act rules.

Although the gaming laws regarding TV ads were relaxed somewhat with the change of the gaming act, there are still lots of rules regarding gaming TV adverts of any sort. For one online bingo TV adverts as well as any form of gaming ad are not allowed to be shown in the commercial break of what is considered to be a children’s program and they must not appeal to children in any shape or form.

This was one of the reasons why Tombola Bingo see two of their online bingo TV adverts banned by the ASA just a few weeks ago, because their ads were considered to be like a fairground ride………hence appealing to children or young persons.

Ladbrokes have also just released a brand new TV advert adverting their online casino site and I am sure that they made double sure this time that their advert meets all gaming act rules as they also recently had one of their adverts banned by the ASA. In an unprecedented move they even put out a “Wanted” poster in a national newspaper looking for the one viewer that had an objection to their advert, made a complaint about it and see their ad banned from viewing.

TV Advertising campaigns can run into the millions so when an online bingo TV advert or any advert come to that gets banned, it is like money down the drain for the company behind the ad.
