Who Knew Daniel Radcliffe Could Sing?
Our favourite wizard, Harry Potter, has only got a small amount of time left before he finishes his school years at the magic school Hogwarts.
So that means Daniel Radcliffe is going to be moving onto more things; that is something he has already done – first he starred in a “stage drama” called ‘Equus’ and now he is in the making of starring in a new play called ‘How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying’. This will be performed next year on New York’s Broadway.
But this new play is not just any play, it’s a musical! Oh yes, so that means not only will Daniel be acting on stage he’ll be dancing and singing too; to be honest I never knew the magic star had it in him. The director of Daniel’s new play said (that Female First picked up on),
“He’s singing every day with a vocal coach in London and I’ve got my assistant putting him through his dance paces every other day. I’m covering all bases with Daniel – and he’s delivering.”
Plus his co-star Rose Hemingway, who’ll play his girlfriend in the play, thinks that Daniel is going to “surprise” a lot of people. And why not; of you think about it we only know Daniel through his role as Harry Potter and that role is portraying only 1 kind of talent but this musical will show 2 more that we have never seen before!
If Rose was “amazed” by the talent that Daniel showed then we’ll probably be just as amazed.
In this play he’ll be playing the character of a young window cleaner and goes by the name ‘J. Pierrepont Finch. The play is in fact a re-make and it won the Pulitzer Prize as the winning musical back in 1961.
So there are a few films and a play we have got to look forward to seeing Daniel in, next year is going to be a treat for all his fans!
