Westlife expect JLS to win Album Battle

In a recent video interview with The Sun Westlife members admitted they expect to lose in their title battle with JLS.

The group have also seen the kings of the boy bands Take That smash the title charts by selling the most amount of albums in one week since Oasis’ 2005 hit album be here now. ‘Progress’ the title of the album has sold around 520,000 copies already!

Westlife said they were forced to freshen up their act after Take That’s original come back in 2006, however they did say that time has took its toll on their popularity. Speaking about their album battle with JLS this week Nicky Byrne said “We expect JLS to win, defiantly. Twelve years in it’s very different”.

He continued talking about how things have changed over the years saying “We’re learning that the older you get the more of a challenge it is. Fans are now older and don’t buy every last thing you put on the shelf”

Speaking more about the boy band scene Shane Filan added “We’ve upped our game. We had too. – Take That came back better than they were before. They’ve revitalised the pop world”

Kian Egan prompted the album stating that John Shanks help them produce the new record, the same producer that worked with Take That on their last two albums.

The three acts performed on the X-Factor the other week with Robbie Williams singing with Take That for the first time in 15 years!

Kian told The Sun “Obviously X Factor was the Take That show but it was amazing to be sharing the same stage. – We were all at secondary school watching the guys at their height the first time round, wanting to be in Take That. – It was amazing to even be on the same stage as them. The five of them back together and still competing.”
