The X factor shenanigans will finally be over this weekend, we just hope there isn’t no more controversial changes in how the way the show usually runs.
The X Factor finals are usually a spectacle not to miss and it seems to be that way again with various household names in the music industry set to take to the X-Factor stage to sing either on their own or with one of the remaining four acts.
So what have the finalists been up to this week? No doubt they are more nervous than ever. Well Matt Cardle seems to be relaxed, in a recent report in The Sun he revealed how he has become addicted to spray tans and how he has to get one done at least once a week!
Although he is worrying a lot and he has told other reporters that he feels like this is he’s “last chance. Well if so he has a very high chance of succeeding, Matt is outright favourite to win the show r who rated by bookies as short as 5/6!
Meanwhile Cher Loyd who has had a tough few weeks has finally geared herself up for Saturdays final.
The teen rapper has recently visited some local venues to play to fans, she seemed very pleased with the reaction she received telling The Sun reporters “I didn’t expect this support at all. Everyone standing here in the cold, just for me. They’ve even laid out a red carpet for me – I’m not used to that”. 3,500 tickets for the gig where distributed in just 15 minutes which shows how much Cher’s home town are prepared to get behind her this weekend.
All of the remaining acts went back to their home area to play a gig in order to get people behind them. Rebecca received a great reception at the Echo arena in Liverpool with fans chanting and screaming her name it must have been a huge confident’s boost for Rebecca ahead of Saturdays final.
It has been vowed that only your votes will count this week there will be no decision making by the judges as to who goes through ect. The one act with the least votes will go home on Saturday night whilst the two runners up and the winner will be announced on Sunday.

This series of the X Factor has been the full of controversies and even so far into the show at the semi finals stage there is outrage and hints that the show may be fixed.
For the first time in X-factor history the judges used their powers to choose who goes through to next weeks finals, usually at this stage it is purely the public’s decision.
Cher Lloyd is proving to be less popular each week however she has been saved by the judges for the last two weeks. First of all against Paige Richardson and more recently against Mary on Sunday’s results night.
It was expected that Cher would be waving goodbye to the X Factor after losing a lot of public support in the last few weeks. However this was before the unexpected change.
Viewers where left outraged once more after seeing this on Sunday especially after presenter Dermot O’Leary explained to viewers on Saturday nights show that “Your votes and your votes alone can get your favourite act safely through to the final”.
Fans have been flooding with complaints on internet forums at the obvious change.
A fan of the X Factor Facebook page made a very good point; she commented on the page “Why did the pre-show trials and the ITV listing say the act with the least votes would be leaving?”
No mention of the decision switch was mentioned throughout Sunday’s show it was only figured when it got down to the bottom three when Dermot said only one more act will go directly though to the show. And then the bottom two would have a sing off.
Apparently the contestants where informed of the change earlier on Sunday afternoon. Maybe the X Factor producers saw that Cher was ranked bottom on the public vote and decided to change it. Although an ITV spokeswoman insisted the change was made before and NOT after public votes come in.

Matt Cardle has ranted about some of the recent X factor……. or should that be (Fix Factor) controversies. He is so disappointed that he told Mirror reporters that he no longer feels safe on the show, even though he is one of the public’s favourite contestants.
Matt has took a dig at Simon Cowell claiming that he is sacrificing some of the better acts in order to keep individuals that will keep viewers watching. This bold statement came after Sundays dismissal of Aiden Grimshaw over Katie Waissel, Katie has survived 4 times after being in the bottom two, she has beaten most controversially Aiden on Sunday and last week Treyc.
Matt spoke about Sundays loss of good friend Aiden he told Mirror reporters “I’m shocked and devastated. It is like losing a brother. I was surprised by the result, when it went to Katie and Aiden in the bottom two I didn’t think he would go.- Even when it went to deadlock I thought he would stay.”
Aiden claimed he knew that Danni and Louis would vote to keep Aiden but admitted being shocked and disappointed in Simon Coewell’s decision to stick behind Katie yet again. He told The Mirror “she gets the coverage, she gets the show attention, but he is a much better singer”.
He then went on to talk about comic like act Wagner, he said “The whole Wagner thing, enough is enough- The joke is over now and people should be voting for the singers”.
Online polls and reports show that Wagner has huge support which could see him through another few rounds easily and maybe even into the finals!
Other news in X-Factor and slightly more positive the finalists cover of David Bowie’s legendry song ‘Heroes’ will released in shops on Monday and available to download on Sunday. The single will help raise money for Help For Heroes.

It has been all over the news since Sundays X Factor sing off between Katie and Treyc Cohen, and all the talks of the result being fixed may be true! Yes the shows long term presenter Dermot O’ Leary has let some information slip about what happened on Sundays results show.
Dermot revealed that there was a plot to save Katie who couldn’t even sing properly during what was meant to be her make or break sing off. Singing the words “don’t give up on me” she forgot the words started to laugh and ended up shouting “sod it!” and sat down to finish the song off in a less than convincing style.
Apparently according to Dermot the plot was arranged minutes before the judges where asked to make their decision of who they want to send home. He said he was told “If Cheryl decides to opt out go to the majority vote”.
Viewers expected Cheryl to be asked to make her decision last as it usually is when two of one judges acts are in the bottom two however they where shocked when they witnessed her asked second after Simon Cowell opted to save Katie.
Cheryl decided not to vote and apparently that’s what the producers where banking on. Dermot then without much pressure towards Cheryl moved on and carried out the majority vote which saw Danii vote to save Treyc and then Louis Walsh put an end to the ordeal sending home Treyc by saving Katie.
If the decision went down to public deadlock Katie would have been going home however Dermot defended not going to public deadlock claiming “You can’t do that because then it kind of devalues the other two judges’ votes so that wouldn’t have made sense”
However he did pick up on the order in which the judges where chosen to vote in, and said “It would have been a lot easier for me for Cheryl to be last”.
It don’t look like this story is going to die down to soon, who knows what could happen if the judges feel they can do what they want, anyone could win or go home at that matter!

The remaining X Factor contestants didn’t hesitate to take their opportunity to attend the Cosmo awards the other night.
Most of the pop star hopefuls were on their best behaviour and enjoyed the night mingling with some top celebrities however it was competition favourite Cher Lloyd who got (reportedly) a bit out of control.
Ladies favourites Matt Cardle and Aiden Grimshaw managed to stay in control at the party which also featured last years successful X-Factor stars Joe McEelderry and Olly Murrs.
Aiden in fact seemed to have found a nice lady friend at the bash when he was seen holding a very long conversation with Strictly star Tina O’Brien, it’s a good thing she is a single lady after splitting with boyfriend Nick Cox recently. Aiden has also changed his relationship status recently after finishing it with his ex when he got through to the live finals of the ITV show.
Cher couldn’t hold down a single conversation according to The Sun reporters and also turned her back on reporters… well it seems like she is starting to build up the pop star ego.
Cher 17, seemed to be having a great time posing for pictures with her X-Factor pals as well as comedian Keith Lemon.
Cher is the favourite to win the X-Factor at the moment and is priced at 5/1 to go on and win the show. Her performance last week has seen the song she sung rise high in the charts, the song she covered was Shakespeare’s Sister’s 1992 hit ‘Stay’.
Katie Waissel was one of the few names that didn’t attend the event, as she stayed in bed recovering from a very bad chest infection. The 24 year old is worried that she may be asked to leave the show if her illness doesn’t get any better soon.
Katie’s mum was allowed to come visit her daughter in the X-Factor contestants house the other night. It would have been hard for Katie to see all her X-Factor rivals go out and enjoy the limelight as that’s exactly all she wants.

The 2010 X Factor finalists are all set and ready to record their first hit single, the bunch are soon to record their charity version of legendry single ‘Heroes’ by David Bowie.
The line up will include all finalists such as Cher Lloyd, Diva Fever, Storm and Wagner, lets hope a few of the names have a little input n the remake of the classic song which they will be recording and making the video for it over the next week or so.
It is yet another charity song organized by X-Factor founder Simon Cowell you may remember some other fun raising singles the X-Factor finalists done, such as the 2008 remake of Mariah Carey’s ‘Hero’ the line up then consisted of names like JLS, Alexandra Burke and Diana Vickers.
That charity single raised a total of £1.3million for H4H Rehabilitation Complex at Headley Court.
The X-Factor stars could almost bank on reaching number one in the charts. This is strange as the original single which was released in 1977 only reached number 24!
Bowie is aware that the X-Factor hopefuls are covering his song, he hasn’t had much to say about it, but then he has only had a few interviews in the last five years. Will this spark David Bowie back into the limelight with the younger generation, will he finally come back and make new music?… its not likely, however it would be nice to hear his opinion on the charity cover of his song which is bound to be modernised.
The money raised from this single will go to the Help4Heroes charity, so the song is pretty fitting with the cause. The Help4Herous trust are looking to raise a total of £44million which is needed to build recovery centres for wounded soldiers.
The single will be available to buy on the 7th of November.

It is reported that ITV has been looking for replacement shows to take over from the X-Factor if it doesn’t return for another series next year.
According to the Daily Mirror ITV bosses are “so worried” about losing the popular show.
The speculation has built after the rumour that judge and creator Simon Cowell may not return as he wishes to concentrate on the US show. Jonathan Ross is one of the names linked in as a replacement in some way however there is a slight doubt that he is not suited for early evening audiences.
Andrew Lloyd Webber is another of the names mentioned, he would be more of a national replacement as he has worked on the popular musical talent shows such as ‘Any Dream Will Do ‘ for the BBC.
A source from ITV claimed “despite their public assurances that X-Factor will be back next year, bosses are increasingly uneasy that they could be mistaken that their most successful and profitable TV product will vanish until 2012 and may not come back at all”
Simon is the man who makes all the big decisions and he hasn’t yet signed any deals to further the show for another year. ITV will be desperate to keep the show especially in the tough financial times which they are in at current.
ITV also face a threat of losing Britain’s Got Talent, according to The Daily Mirror Simon said on Monday “there has to be a good mood here for these shows, I have always been conscious of that. You cant force anything”. If that’s the case everything should be fine as viewing where through the roof last Saturday.
Meanwhile the ‘Hit girl’ Abbey Johnstone has said that she should have listened to her mum who advised her not to go through with their Birmingham audition. Johnstone who punched her singing partner Lisa Parker 18 said “my mum told me not to go on the show, I wish I had listened to her”.

According to rumours, drunken X Factor contestants partied until early hours at Cowell’s mansion, trashing his things and keeping him from sleeping.
Simon took the hopefuls to his £15,000 a night villa in the boot camp stages, however things quickly turned sour as the contestants excitement got the better of them. Upon entering the home at 8am on Sunday the singers where loud screaming and whooping.
They woke Cowell from his sleep which was far from happy about as he only had a few hours of it, after working hard until early hours in the morning.
The selection of boot camp hopefuls didn’t get any better behaved as they started partying later on in the evening on Sunday. They raided cupboards and fridges for Simon’s vintage wines and drank all of his favourite beer which he had flown in specially!
Later on the drunk contestants decided to go for a dip in the sea, stumbling back through the home afterwards into their rooms. The group managed to wreck a £5000 Persian rug on their rampage.
An inside source said “the contestants really let their hair down when they got to the Villa on Sunday and they where drinking, singing and partying. They even got stuck into Simon’s beer, so he wasn’t happy at all when he went to get a drink the next day” the reporter continued “to make matters worse they damaged antiques in the Villa and ruined a rug”.
Earlier in the series riot police where called when contestants went on a drunken rampage through the hotel they where staying in. It seems like they are all living life before they have made it.
Simon commented on all this saying Yes, they did wake me up. And any damage will have to be paid out of their first royalty cheque if they make it. To teach them a lesson.”

Finally Simon Cowell has done something about the over-usage of common and well-known songs, that just frankly get mine and probably on a lot of over peoples nerves when they are sung so much in the same sitting.
Although it is not known exactly how many songs are banned, luckily enough the News of the World newspaper found a small sample of some of the banned songs, or what it is titled, the ‘Flop List’.
The following are all songs included in the small flop list, the News of the World newspaper have got:
Kings of Leon – Sex on Fire
Jason Mraz – I’m Yours
Paolo Nutini – Last Request
Paolo Nutini – New Shoes
Eva Cassidy – Songbird
Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars
So that’s a small sample list, but I wonder if they have or if they will cut out those big ballad songs, because they are the ones that are sung way too often on the X Factor, but then they are also the ones that show the most potential, power and range that a singer’s voice has.
Then again, ballad’s are not the most modern and first choice of a song style these days, so maybe it would be best to cut them out too.
According to the News of the World, Simon Cowell has mentioned that he is worried that the audience may end up getting bored of the show, because of it’s repetitive routines, so I think that is more or less the reason why he is banning those common song choices.
Hopefully this flop list will make the contestants branch out too more unusual, less known but good choice songs and not another common song, which Simon managed to miss and not add to the list.
Well, we will soon see if the latest series of the X Factor is as exciting and fresh as they hope it will be (as the 2010 show begins on 21st August) or will we believe that after we’ve the show, that it too should be added to the Flop List and banned itself?! Not much longer now!

It seems that some of the X Factor Boot Camp contestants are getting a little too big for their boots, now that they are on the edge of becoming famous or maybe the alcohol they consumed simply sent them bonkers!
Whatever the reason, according to an article found in the News of the World Newspaper, Simon Cowell is fuming over the incidents 20 X Factor hopefuls committed during their week long break at the Premier Inn in Wembley.
Apparently there was complete chaos last Thursday night, in fact it was so bad that the staff working at the Premier Inn had to call in ‘Specialist Cops’! Yes, specially trained police men who are sent to deal with extreme riots; in this case, seeing as the contestants did cause a lot of damage, I suppose the situation had to be handled by higher hands.
It’s a shame though, because now the X Factor team have to pay for the damages that were caused which included a series of broken doors, pictures and signs. All because those contestants started downing a series of alcoholic drinks!
Well there’s no doubt that the following source has got their comment spot on,
“They were like wild animals. The police arrived in full riot gear because things were so extreme. It’s hard to believe these people are serious about becoming the next Leona Lewis or Alexandra Burke.”
They’ve been given the opportunity to appear on X Factor, showcase their talent and be in the chance of winning the whole series, yet (and being in the Boot Camp stages) they have got the respect for the place their staying – I wouldn’t like to see what they would do if they made it as the X Factor winner, and that’s whether they should still be given the chance after the stunt they pulled.
Not only that, there has also been a series of comments arguing that some of the contestants were even dancing around naked, whereas as other comments are disagreeing with that statement – so who really knows what else went on that drunken night?
Hopefully, when X Factor is aired to our TV screens again we will get to see this little stunt, as dis-respectful as it is, it would make very entertaining TV and shake things up a bit! Although we very much doubt this will get any X Factor air time at all.
