Many online bingo sites now seem to be dropping their free bingo no deposit sign up deals and focusing on free bingo games instead…………..but is this the way forwards? In my opinion participating in free bingo games from time to time is all well and good, but they are not something I would want to play on a daily basis. After all let’s be honest in most instances you are competing against hundreds of other players for prize money ranging between £1 and £10.
Now I am not knocking free bingo game play completely, as it does bring you the chance to play (real play online bingo) every day of the week, without having to fund your account………but these types of games are certainly not what I would want to play all of the time. (This of course is just my view).
Wink Bingo will be one of the latest online bingo sites to do away with their free bingo no deposit sign up bonus, because as from 1st April it is due to be removed from their bingo site. Over the past few weeks we have seen Wink Bingo go more down the free bingo route, in fact they now have a whole section dedicated to free bingo play……….but I do have to say on some of their free bingo games, the prize money is worth playing for.

The Wink Bingo Makes Love promotion has paired Abbie Turner-Bevan with James Cancea. These two bingo players entered the Wink Makes Love match-making promotion at popular bingo site Wink Bingo in February and won the Miss Wink and Mr. Wink titles respectively. Now that this pair have found each other preparations are on as they gear up for that much awaited romantic hot date!
Abbie is from Shoesburyness in Essex and is 20 and full of life. This bubbly young lady nominated herself for the Miss Wink title and then proceeded to drum up plenty of support for herself on the Wink Bingo Facebook fan page. She swept the votes with 243 votes in all. There were 31 female entries for the Miss Wink title and Abbie won with the maximum votes.
Abbie gave voters plenty of details about herself. “I am quite a loud girl with a lot of energy. I have loads of friends who I love dearly and I aim to make the most of my life by treating each day as if it was my last 
I am a carer in a care home hoping to move onto the hospital where I hope to get my degree in midwifery ( midwife).” Abbie likes “reading, socialising with friends and astronomy (stars etc.)” She also likes to play the Xbox and Call of Duty is her favourite.
“I like to travel to new places in the UK and outside the UK.” About her likes and dislikes regarding people, Abbie said “I dislike feet, unclean finger nails and people who lie. x” Abbie was looking for “someone who will make me laugh and who I enjoy spending time with ”.
James (leedsboi) hails from Harrow, Middlesex and this 22 year old entered the Wink Makes Love promotion for “a bit of a laugh”. James got 46 votes and Abbie chose him as her Mr. Wink out of the 8 male entries.
James is a “gr8 fun lovin bloke up for anythin but also got a caring, sensitive side to me.” He likes “learning to play the guitar, football, going out for top class meals – sunday roast pls! cinema – love catching a movie”. He dislikes “unhygenic people, grubby fingernails, moody peeps and liars.” ”What’s the point?” he asks.
James was looking for a girl “who is well up for having a good time and a larf and who doesn’t take life too seriously”
It seems James and Abbie are quite well matched! Wink Bingo has arranged for them to go out together on Saturday 13th March. They will begin their evening with a cocktail making class at Revolution Bar in Soho. Then they will carry on to dinner at the Eagle Bar and Diner, an American style diner that is very famous for its amazing cocktails.

Wink Bingo jackpot winner Myra Carbin was recently in the news for her donation to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Myra won a spectacular £25,000 bingo jackpot playing a bingo promotion game at Wink Bingo in September and had donated money from her winnings to the hospital towards buying medical equipment for their Intensive Care Unit for infants.
Myra’s daughter has been under the care of the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment on a defective heart. In fact emergency heart surgery performed at this hospital saved Myra’s daughter’s life when the child was just a few weeks old. The donation made by Myra and her husband was their small way of saying ‘Thank You’ to the doctors and nurses at John Radcliffe.
The Carbins donated £700 towards the purchase of a special machine that automatically injects medication at regulated intervals into critically ill infants. This frees up the nurses who can attend to the infinite other urgent jobs in the Unit.
Taking inspiration from this jackpot winner and her kind act, bingo site Wink Bingo also decided to do something for the same hospital. Maurice Karpes, Marketing Director at Wink Bingo said “We were very touched when we heard about Myra’s story and were keen to do what we could to help”. Wink Bingo has matched Myra’s donation to the John Radcliffe Hospital. They also took Myra and her daughter Niave to the hospital so that they could hand over the cheque to the hospital staff.

We were delighted to be able to match Myra’s donation and buy more equipment for this amazing unit.”
Penny Hambridge, Children’s Development Officer at John Radcliffe Hospital commented on the double donations that the hospital has received. She said “We are extremely grateful to both Myra and Wink Bingo for their amazing donations to the Children’s Intensive Care Unit. Donations such as these enable us to buy equipment beyond what the NHS alone can fund and this is a wonderful example of how people in the Community can support the Hospital.”
Myra and her husband had made a promise to themselves after their infant daughter’s life was saved by the efforts of the doctors and nursing staff at John Radcliffe hospital. They vowed to do something for the hospital at the first chance they had. “We said on that day that if we ever got the chance, we’d give something back to them.”
The first thing Myra remembered after the initial euphoria of winning £25,000 at Wink Bingo had died down was this promise she had made. “After the win we remembered how each piece of equipment had a little plaque on saying who had donated it so we thought that would be perfect. They use so many of the machines that we hope a new one will be a good help to them.”
