Todd Carty who, as we all know used to play Mark Fowler in the Eastenders soap but left back in the year of 2003 (after spending 18 longs year in the square) with a storyline that said he was HIV positive.
Since then we have famously seen him appear in another soap – The Bill – and he also appeared on Dancing on Ice last year; how could we forget! No-one could forget those silly, absolutely hilarious performance stunts that he pulled off!
Here is a quote that Female First picked up on from something he said in the past about his actions on the Dancing on Ice stage,
“I’m an actor…so, of course I was performing. I wanted to bring fun and humour to the show – people can take these things too seriously. I thought from the start ‘lets take the Mickey out of it’, make it light-hearted. All the viewers just hope the contestants fall on their backsides. It’s entertainment, it isn’t the Olympics.”
Very well put, I must say.
But now the 46 year old star is thinking about joining in with Coronation Street, who are in fact Eastenders rival soap in the business and there is just one part he wouldn’t say no to, if Corrie offered him it – “Maybe some young cockney wide boy who comes up, you’ve had a few of them in the past – maybe a new generation of London lad comes in. Anyway, give them my number just in case.”
Well if Corrie does want Todd to join their stream of characters on the show, they’ll have to include this “London lad” in the selection and, well, like Tony said, they’ve got his number now so all they need to do to get in contact with him is call, and he’ll be at the set within minutes!
I actually think Todd would be good in corrie.

Sadly Calvin Valentine has left the soap Hollyoaks after his ending storyline that involved him getting shot on his wedding day! But now that there has been a murder in town, the murderer has to be found and the police are up to their necks in suspects, but who actually did it?
Almost every main character in the soap has a reason to be the villain in this storyline, even his own blood had a motive – but no offence whatever there reason was for committing this crime or even if they meant to (unless they were mentally unstable) who would bring a gun to a wedding?
Well someone did and each episode a different character has the finger pointed their way for example, in tomorrows episode the finger is pointed towards Lauren as she makes a run away with Gaz, but not for the reasons the Valentines and the rest of the town may think!
She has actually gotten herself into a sticky situation as all Hollyoaks fans should know by now if they have been tuning into every episode – this situation being one that involves her lying about being pregnant to get some free money!
But then Cheryl’s guilty conscience becomes too much for her and she reveals all to Carmel about Mercedes affair with Calvin (she could have at least waited until Carmel had grieved for Calvin long enough – some more inappropriate timing Hollyoaks included in their storylines to give more oomph). Carmel’s reaction is not pretty for obvious reasons.
Finally Mercedes other half, Malachy is trying to convince himself that Mercedes has nothing to do with the killing of Calvin and is trying to convince his brother Kris too.
But can he really believe that she had nothing to do with it, well you’ll just have to keep tuning into Hollyoaks this week to see if the finger ends up getting pointed at Mercedes and how long it stays there for too!

There is a current storyline in the soap Emmerdale, but for it to progress any further in depth, bosses need a new actress to feel the shoes of a new character and there is just one person that they all think would be perfect for the job – she goes by the name of Joan Collins.
Yes, the legend herself, but will she want to portray the character of ‘Nana Barton’ as the Barton’s keep calling her? Nana Barton is Moira Barton’s mother who apparently is living on a cruise ship as has a keen eye for men younger than her (more commonly known as toy boys).
This is all the information we know so far about the character of Nana Barton as that is all Moira and her husband John (played by Natalie Robb and James Thornton) have revealed about her. These two actors have been the ones joking about how great Joan would be for the part of Nana Barton as James revealed to DigitalSpy,
“They keep referring to Nana Barton. We keep laughing saying that Joan Collins would be great for the part! She’d be amazing.” And of course she would! Natalie thinks so to as she made the comment, “Joan would be brilliant!”
Natalie has also got her own ideas about a storyline that could take place involving Nana Barton and her character Moira Barton, she said,
“Perhaps there could be a secret buried. I still don’t know why Moira left Scotland, so there might be a storyline there.”
Maybe Nana Barton stole a boyfriend Moira had whilst she was living in Scotland (seeing as she has been portrayed to have a thing for toy boys) therefore Moira thought there was no other way, but to leave.
We can all make up story-line’s that involve Nana Barton, but it will be up to bosses whether they want her to be presented as a good mum or a bad one – but one thing’s for sure if they do get Joan Collins to play the part, the storyline will be interesting no matter what!

Bosses of Coronation Street are on the lookout for some fresh good looking chaps to walk the streets of Corrie, but they are looking for something a bit particular.
They think it’s about time they shook things up in town and add something that Corrie has been lacking lately; here are the words that the producer of the show, Phil Collins, said to the Daily Star Newspaper,
“I think we are missing a really good heartthrob. And there’s also room for a new, tough good-looking villain.”
Well if that is what the producer wants, that is what the producer will get but I wonder who these new faces will be? Someone the industry is familiar too or a completely new face – well we will soon find out.
It’s true though every soap does need a “heartthrob” that the female audience can take their liking too and village bad boy that all the men relate or pretend to relate to, plus there hasn’t been a new face for a while so why not feel up some of the vacant houses with some eye candy.
Guess who’ll be returning to the show? Only the town’s latest bad boy (criminal) Tony Gordon who will return to Corrie after serving a murder charge in prison.
But why would he return to Corrie, his old home but a place where he doesn’t really belong anymore…to get revenge maybe? Could that revenge involve his ex-wife? In fact it does, but he takes her staff down with her as he holds them all as hostage but what will he really want?
You can bet that storyline will be panning out to something bigger and then it will really be the end of Tony Gordon’s (Gary O’Brien) time in Corrie, so the familiar faces are definitely going to need a new “villain” to keep them on toes and a good guy to save the day and hopefully live happily ever after. But with all these soaps track records, that probably won’t happen.

Dancing with the Stars is a dancing reality TV series that has been airing on out screens for quite some time now, and finally its Semis time! That means all of the remaining couples left in the show will be competing for a spot in the finals, seeing as there is 4 semi-finalists left that means there will only be 3 finalist spots available.
Like most dancing shows; such as Strictly Come Dancing’ there is always a favourite, no matter what anyone says there is always one couple that half the viewing audience will say ‘they’re the ones who will win it’ and will keep voting for that same couple throughout.
That couple is usually, ‘stereotypically’ the one with a high sex appeal and obviously some incredible dancing for non-professionals. Now when it comes to ‘Dancing with the Stars’ there is in fact 2 couples that are everyone’s favourite!
Although the one to top the leader board is Nicole Scherzinger (who was lead singer in the Pussycat Dolls) and professional dancer Derek Hough (who has been romantically and friendly linked to Cheryl Cole – including his appearance as the main dancer in her ‘Parachute’ music video). So already this dancing couple has a very high profile and a large fan base and that’s before they have even started dancing!
But of course if you have seen these two in action, they literally race across the dance with so much beauty that last week they scored full marks (total of 30) for their Tango routine.
If you haven’t yet seen these dance then you can always tune in this week and the finale – don’t miss out on witnessing the art of dance that these two create when they move to the beat and you can bet they will be pulling everything out of the bag to win this reality TV show competition especially with being at the op for so long! It would be a shame if they missed the winning fame by the skin of their teeth!
