Rod Stewart reunites with his Daughter
Veteran rock star Rod Stewart has been reunited with his first child which he had as an 18 year old after 20 years of estrangement.
The ‘Maggie May’ singer invited his now 46 year old daughter (Sarah Streeter) to one of shows in July, where she met some of her half brothers and sisters. And the father and daughter met again just two weeks ago for tea at Rod’s Tower Bridge home.
Sarah was put up for adoption a few months after being born, as a 18 year old and unknown Rod Stewart couldn’t handle being a father. It wasn’t until after Sarah’s 18th when she was made aware who her parents are.
According to The Sun Sarah shockingly admitted “I had a poster of him on my wall because I thought he was sexy, and then suddenly I find out he’s my father”.
Sarah spoke to The Daily Mai about their reformed relationship, she said “At the moment it’s all baby steps, but whatever issues were there have all been forgotten, for both of us. – It’s all water under the bridge now. It’s nerve-racking, too, but just as much so for him as it is for me. -Now we’re at the start of a new chapter, and that’s wonderful”.
Sarah will soon have another step brother or sister, as Rod’s wife Penny, 39 (eight years younger than Sarah) is pregnant. Sarah says “Penny is so nice, really easy to talk to.
She continued “I think she’s very good for Rod and I think she’s changed him a lot, she’s a very sympathetic influence. I congratulated them on the pregnancy and they seemed thrilled”.
Rod, 65 meanwhile has vowed to move from his home in the States back to UK to raise his two youngest, one of which has not yet been born.
