Online Bingo Emerges as Clear Winner

In a survey based on 400 and men and women participating, the game of online bingo emerged as a clear winning in the 2009 New Year’s Eve celebrations. Many of us tighten our purse strings after the Christmas celebrations and with news coming in that it is thought one in three households in Essex are in debit to the tune of £22,000 each, it is not surprising people do seem to be spending less on New Year’s Eve festivities now.

Where some lose others are set to gain and it looks like online bingo which has been one of the fastest growing industries ever to hit the net, is set to reap the recession benefits all the way. In the survey which was conducted on behalf of online bingo club, it showed that 73% of the British public would be staying in on New Year Eve rather than go out to their local pubs or clubs.

Another surprising statistic showed that 44% of people surveyed said they would be enjoying a few games of online bingo instead………….making bingo top of the online gaming brigade once again. And 52% (over half) agreed that they would all be spending less on New Year’s Eve 2009 than they did the previous year.

A spokesman for OnlineBingoClub.co.uk said: “It seems like the traditional New Year’s Eve sight of drunken party goers falling out of clubs could be less common this year. More of us than ever will be spending the evening of December 31 at our computer screens and there’s no better fun to be had online than bingo.”

It of course is much cheaper to get a few bottles of bubbly at your local supermarket and see the New Year in at home with family and friends than to venture out to your local pub or social club. If these survey results are anything to go by, that is exactly what many brits choose to do this year and with so many people choosing to stay in it has certainly paved the way for online bingo sites like Wink Bingo and Ladbrokes Bingo to entertain players for New Year celebrations, by putting on their very own online parties.
