Noel Gallagher close to Praising Gorilliaz

It is not often you hear positive words come out of Noel Gallager’s mouth regarding any music than his own. And we certainly never expected the ex-Oasis man to ever have nice words to say about Gorillaz and Blur font man Damon Albarn.
However it seems like Noel has grown up a lot since the late 90’s Britpop war, Noel attended the GQ awards night at the Royal Opera house in Covent Gardens, London, and had to see Damon pick up the award in the Best band Category for his work with Gorillaz.
When Damon and band member Jamie Hewlett went up to receive the award Damon took his chance to apologise to Giorgio Armani for his behaviour when he last saw him. Colchester born Damon said “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise to Mr Armani for my appalling behaviour the last time I saw him. I am truly sorry”.
The comments from Noel’s mouth wasn’t full of praise however they wasn’t critical at all either when he was asked to give his thoughts on the Gorillaz picking up the award.
Mr Gallagher told reporters “Gorillaz definitely deserve some kind of award – if only for having 104 people on stage at Glastonbury. What a f******g rider that must’ve been to organise – more complicated than a Big Brother shopping list!”
The Manchester City supporter also had comments about the sportsman of the year award which just so happened to be awarded to Ryan Giggs, a star player of City’s bitter rivals Manchester United. Noel comically commented “Giggsy-wiggsy? Sportsman Of The Year? When you consider the gymnastics Wayne Rooney, Ashley Cole and little Peter Crouch have been getting up to lately, that award was a bit of a sham.”
Noel wasn’t just there to comment on all the stars he presented the Outstanding Achievement award to Kinks legend Ray Davies.
