N-Dubz Royal Battle
N-Dubz are set for yet another battle, this one however is with the queen herself! The rap trio which include Dappy, Tulisa and Fazer have locked horns with most of the music industry at one point but this Christmas they have a real battle royal.
Dappy is currently recording an alternative viewing to the Queen’s Christmas day speech both shows will be broadcasted at the same time on different channels, N-Dubz will be giving their Christmas message on Channel 4.
Dappy seems excited to be rivalling the Queen, according to The Sun he said “We thought it would be cool to do a special Christmas message to rival the Queen’s speech but I’ll be giving a very different take on things to Her Majesty. – I’m going to be talking about things that matter to young people today, keeping it real and relevant”.
The festive message will also be shown on the groups MySpace page at the same time as the broadcast.
Before competing with the Queen on Christmas N-Dubz will perform to the Queen and the royal family at the Royal Variety show on December the 7th. I wonder if the rap star will give the queen some fighting talk to psyche the event up, now that would make good Tele.
Dappy is in fact generally excited about meeting Her Majesty, he said “I’m going to kiss her on the cheek… No only joking, I’m going to dress very smartly, with no hat”.
Dappy and co have appeared on Channel 4 before in their TV series ‘Being N-Dubz’ despite proving to be a very popular show it doesn’t look like there will be a series two, after a recent interview it doesn’t sound like Dappy is happy with what the show does to the groups profile.
He said “it reveals our mystique”. I think if his Crimbo speech gets more viewers than The Queens speech I’m sure he will fancy himself on TV shows again.
