Mecca Bingo Look for Recipe of the Year 2009
Mecca Bingo are on the lookout those all important family favourites as they are calling all budding cooks to send in their favourite family recipes in aid of helping their chosen charity ‘Whizz Kidz’. Mecca Bingo has been on a huge charity drive for Whizz Kidz over the past year and this is just their latest initiative in their current campaign.
If you spend hours in the kitchen cooking up delicious food for your friends and family or have an old family recipe you would like to share, entering the cook up competition from Mecca Bingo might be for you.
There are three stages to the Mecca Bingo Family Favourites ‘cook out’. The first stage is to get those recipes submitted to Mecca Bingo. This can be done simply via their online bingo site by filling out a form or going into one of their land based bingo clubs. Recipes must be entered in before the cut of date which is the 30th August.
There are a couple of points to take note of before submitting your recipes. They should not take longer than 90 minutes to cook, cost under £5 to produce and be able to serve four people.
All club recipe winners will walk off with a fab prize and there will also be eight regional finalists. The eight finalists will be in cooking heaven as they will get to produce their wares in a famous professional kitchen in London. All regional finalists will be put up in a luxury hotel for the night and be given £250 worth of supermarket shopping vouchers each.
The grand final winner will get their dish served up for all to taste in their local Mecca Bingo club in a great VIP night of bingo entertainment which will be put on by Mecca Bingo. The will also be treated to £500 worth of vouchers.
The best of the best recipes will be going into a very special cook book, which will be put on sale for Whizz Kidz by Mecca Bingo. This hopefully should help boast their charity fund no end. Mecca Bingo say they are looking forwards to trying out all your fantastic recipes.
