Mecca Bingo Create 18 New Jobs
Mecca Bingo have taken the decision to invest a whopping £1.6 million pounds at one of their land based bingo halls situated in Aberdeen, which in return will create around 18 new jobs in the area. This should be great news for the local community and bingo players far and wide.
It is the aim of Mecca Bingo to keep their Aberdeen bingo club open whilst the re-vamp is undertaken, as most of it is due to be done at night. Their of course may be some disruption to bingo game play, but hopefully this will be kept to a minimal and the end result should certainly be worth it.
Speaking to the evening express about the makeover, general manager of the Mecca Bingo club Mark Henderson said, “We are delighted to be investing £1.6 million in Aberdeen and bringing 18 new full and part-time jobs.”
Once the re-vamp is complete, Mecca Bingo players in Aberdeen can expect lots of new features and these are set to include a new bingo lounge (where chatting to friends will have never been better) and enjoy other bingo perks like having food and drink brought directly to their tables.
Bingo clubs are now looking to the future and by the way things are going having a night out at your local bingo hall will bring with the introduction of (table service) a mix of restaurant style (but value for money) food, entertainment and a flutter all under the one roof.
A spokeswoman for Mecca said the plan for the Aberdeen revamp was in a bid to help draw in new, young customers. “The site at Berryden is a huge complex which can seat 2,000 so we are going to create a new social area where people can have fun and still play bingo. At the moment the main hall is so big, people have to be very quiet to hear the numbers called.”
