Grim Record Sales for Nadine Coyle

Nadine Coyle was always regarded as the best singer in Girls Aloud however it doesn’t seem as if her solo career is going as successfully. Her debut single has recently gone on sale and has only shipped a grim 117 copies.

The poor early sales mean she will sit at a number 35 in the charts behind all of her pop star pals and enemies. Her well-known record label Tesco will hope the sales pick up especially with the album due to come out soon.

The digital sales on Monday wasn’t the best either, the single titled ‘Insatiable’ only sold 2,439 it is a disaster in comparison to her chart rivals.

Rihanna notched up a very impressive 47,000 downloads with her new hit ‘Only Girl’

But it will be Cheryl Col’s popularity that gets into Coyle’s wounds the most, the Geordie X-Factor has shifted 566 hard copies of her new single ‘Promise’ on top of an impressive 27,643 on the t’internet, she has had a bit of head start on Nadine though as ‘Promise’ is in its second week of being available to fans. In Cheryl’s first week she sold 157,000 copies!

Nadine’s track has even been snubbed by the Radio One’s play list. Maybe she should come back to the UK and do some promoting, she has been hiding in LA for over a year now maybe this has done her no favours.

It is strange why she has only chosen only one retailer to sell her single, although Tesco where chose by dance favourites Faithless to sell their singles and albums and have since sold a total of 80,000 copies alone before internet downloads.

Nad might have to make up with the Girls Aloud lot so they buy her single after all Every little helps.
