Rapper Jay Z has interrupted Will.I.Am’s hopes to sign X-Factor rapper Cher by coming in and sealing the deal with her himself.
Jay proved he might have 99 problems but signing Cher isn’t one. It looked as if The Black Eyed Peas main man would certainly get Cher’s signature after supporting her singing with her and vowing to sign the teenage rap rebel, but in an instants she turns away and opts to sign with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation imprint.
A source told The Sun “Even though Cher didn’t do terrifically well in the X Factor finals, there’s been a hell of a lot of interest in her.
Will.i.am’s backing only intensified the battle to get her signature. After weighing up the pros and cons, it was thought that the team at Roc Nation would be best placed to turn her dreams of stardom into a reality”
During a recent gig in Merseyside Cher donned a chain with the big words “Turn your Cher On”. If you remember her first audition on the X-Factor she sang a song which had the lyrics “turn my swag on”.
It seems like Cher has come at the right time into the industry she loves so much as it seems girls with power and attitude are the new thing. This year Jessie J and dubstep queen Katy B succeeded for the females and it looks as if Cher is lining up to be the next best thing.
The source added to their comments “All the labels are on the lookout for sassy, young female artists with bags of attitude, and Cher fits that bill perfectly”.
I wonder now if that means next years X-Factor hopefuls are going to be full of wannabe rap stars. It seems as if the gobby teenager has started off a trend.

Not every parent would be pleased at their daughter dating half of the England squad especially Ashley Cole, however it seems as if the full-back has been accepted into the Kayla Collins household.
Cole has been dating the I’m a Celeb star for a short while now and despite Ashley’s renowned bad partner skills he has been welcomed by Kayla’s family, even though Ashley has never met any of Kayla’s family it seems as if he fits in already.
Speaking to The Sun Kayla’s mum happily spoke about the growing relationship “the two have I know he’s had a difficult time recently but, you know, they seem real happy. I am very pleased they are together and I am happy for Kayla. She hopes this will work out and be a long term thing. He is happy again and we are happy that she has done that for him. I would just love to meet him”.
Kayla’s father has similar views on his daughters relationship with Cole, he told The Sun “I think she is missing him (Cole) already from what she’s said. He sounds like a great guy. I know who Cheryl Cole is and I am very familiar with the divorce and everything – I have a lot of friends in the UK. A friend of mine told me the whole story and I saw her pop star status and everything, she’s very pretty. But Kayla is just a great girl and I love her very much and she seems very happy with him”
Meanwhile Cheryl Cole is apparently dating with her dancer friend Derek Hough, 25.
This is according to a lifelong friend of Derek’s who said the pair are dating but they haven’t said they are in a “proper relationship”. Cheryl opted to stay with her family in Newcastle despite Derek’s wishes for her to stay with him in LA although the two could be celebrating the New Year together.

Pop queen Lily Allen is now engaged to boyfriend Sam Cooper after he romantically proposed to her on Christmas day on a beach in the far East.
The smile singer was said to be amazed at his proposal as she had no idea he was planning to propose but her answer was still an immediate “yes”.
The couple have been dating since July 2009 but have known each other longer. A close source says that Sam, 32 has been Lily’s rock and the couple are excited about spending the rest of their lives together.
Before the engagement they were expecting a baby, however Lily tragically lost her unborn baby a few months ago. Building firm boss Sam has stood by Lily throughout and the couple are said to be stronger than ever.
A source reported that Lily is so in love with Sam that the pair have only ever had one argument.
Tying the knot with Sam means a goodbye to Lily’s ex lover Ed Simons. The chemical brothers dance act and Lily have been over for some time now but they were said to be smitten with each other when they were going out.
But there is no looking back for Lily as she claims that Sam is the love of her life, he looks after her and treats her well.
So it is looking like a positive start to the new year for the happy, newly engaged couple.
All that’s left to wonder is will Lily want a big wedding with an Ok magazine deal? Or will she want a more subtle and romantic wedding just like how Sam proposed to her? Or maybe they’ll marry in Vegas a quick wedding to tie the knot before the new year? I guess we’ll have to just wait and see.

No one else will be looking forward to the end of 2010 that Cheryl Cole, she has gone through so much this year and it seems as if some things are still chocking her up on Christmas day.
Ex-husband Ashley Cole sent her a Christmas card wishing her all the best for the new year and it seems to have hit a bit of a nerve. The pair split after a glamorous four year marriage in September after Ashley allegedly slept with a string of other girls.
A source told The Sun reporters that Cheryl “felt quite chocked up at being sent the card” apparently she thought it was a “nice gesture” after all that what the pair have gone through.
The source also said It has been a difficult year and as anyone who has been in love knows, the holidays can bring on a lot of emotion and nostalgia”.
The pop star and X-Factor judge is spending the festive period with her family in Newcastle after debating on travelling to Los Angeles to see her close friend Derek Hough. Dancer Derek understood her decision and sent her a pair of diamond earrings as a Christmas present.
A source told The Sun “He would have liked to have given her them in person but he totally respects her decision to stay in the UK. – He is hoping she will jet out there next week instead and see the New Year in with him”
Cheryl has recently appeared on Channel 4’s hit chat show Alan Carr’s Chatty Man, where she performed Promise This and The Flood from her new album. She previously got a lot of stick for miming on X-Factor on two occasions, she was also interviewed by comedian Alan Carr during the show.

X Factor winner Matt Cardle has been spotted smooching former S club junior star Stacey McClean on a drunken night out.
Matt’s single, When we collide currently number one and it’s looking like it will make this year’s Christmas number one despite the campaigns to get the original Biffy Cylro’s version to the top spot failed.
Matt was seen celebrating his victory at London’s Mayfair hotel looking intimate with Stacey McClean, 21 shortly after this the pair set off to another bar. A tabloid source suggests that pop stars Matt, 27 and Stacey were seen kissing out of sight of the cameras before leaving together.
There was also a rumoured romance between Matt and stylist Grace Woodward during Matt’s time on the X factor. The pair was said to be smitten and Matt even stuck up for Grace after a feud broke out between the stylist and former X factor contestant Cher Lloyd.
There have also been claims that Matt intends to spend his Christmas with Grace and would like to introduce her to the family. Unfortunately for the singer Grace has allegedly dumped him due to his constant flirting with girls.
However maybe love will blossom between the singer who gave a steamy duet with Rihanna and ex S cluber Stacey, who is now in new reality pop group G*Mania. After all the pair do have a lot in common, both shot to fame after being contestants on reality singing shows. Stacey was even in the top six in the girls category in last’s years X factor.
The singers do seem well suited however it is hard to believe that Matt’s new love interest will develop into a budding romance with what only seemed like 5 minutes ago Matt declaring his love for Grace Woodward. Well one thing is for sure, Matt does no how to celebrate.
