Big Brother legend Chantelle Houghtomn has revealed in how she felt when she split from celebrity boyfriend Preston, more than two years after they pair parted.

Published in the Daily Star newspaper yesterday it has now been revealed that the glamour model came very close to taking her life after struggling to cope without the Ordinary Boys front man.

The ex-couple married in 2007 just eight months after meeting in the celebrity Big Brother house. Chantelle who entered the BB house for the second time recently for the Ultimate Big Brother broke down admitting how hard it was getting over Preston.

She admitted to her friends the other day “everything I’d wanted was slipping away from me, and I though more and more about ending it all”. The blonde 27 year old continued “I was driving down the M25 and I just closed my eyes”.

Chantelle who appears to be rekindling some kind of romance in the house at the moment has expressed her worry about the “dark place” that she might slip into if the relationship falls apart again. She told housemate Makosi “my heads all over the place, I feel like I’m on an emotional rollercoaster. I just don’t know what I’m supposed to be feeling”.

Chantelle also admitted she should’ve seen a counsellor to help her with her woes. Instead the blonde… (in particular fashion) visited the plastic surgeon to change her physical looks.

Preston has had a slight change to, he has had a tattoo of the name of an ex-lover inked on his ankle, however he is in fact currently single.

A friend of Chantell’s told the Daily Star “I feel for her, watching her on TV. She’s obviously been drawn to Preston again. But at the same time it’s causing great turmoil” she continued “she’s clearly worried about falling in love when she knows how disappointing it turned out last time”.

Will it be second time lucky for the couple, it seems to be all or nothing this time, will Chantelle accept that though?

TV partners Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley recently claimed that it wasn’t the money that made him switch from the BBC to ITV.

Adrian who landed a neat £6 million switch a few months ago finally spoke yesterday and blasted the “intolerable pressure” from the BBC which forced them off of the One Show.

Reports in the Daily Mirror said that 43 year old Charles said that they where happy to stay on the BBC1 programme but admitted that when the BBC bosses hired Chris Evans as Friday host it made the pairs positions untenable.

Adrian told reporters from the Daily Mirror “nothing needed to change but obviously change was suggested on the One Show, I couldn’t live with”. Speaking on behalf of his TV partner Christine who was sat beside him he continued “we were both put under intolerable pressure. Christine was in an imposable position”.

Adrian prompted that it wasn’t at all about the £6 million which he has signed to receive to present ITV1’s Daybreak, Christine followed just a few months after Adrian’s switch, she signed a £4 million deal. “Adrian clarified it wasn’t about the money when he said “we were both very happy to stay, didn’t want any more money, just wanted to carry on doing a successful programme like we had”.

Chiles even declared he “resents” it when people think or suggest that it was mainly a switch for the bigger pay cheque.

The pair will appear for the first time together next Monday on GMTV, and Chiles has expressed his delight he told the Daily Mirror that “at all costs I felt like we had to be together again”.

Bleakley however seems as if she is still a bit unstable she told reporters “I worked with them (BBC) for 14 years, since I was 17, so it was a massive decision to leave. Suddenly everything I knew and loved changed over night… its been a turbulent and tough time”.

X Factor Contestants in Disarray

According to rumours, drunken X Factor contestants partied until early hours at Cowell’s mansion, trashing his things and keeping him from sleeping.

Simon took the hopefuls to his £15,000 a night villa in the boot camp stages, however things quickly turned sour as the contestants excitement got the better of them. Upon entering the home at 8am on Sunday the singers where loud screaming and whooping.

They woke Cowell from his sleep which was far from happy about as he only had a few hours of it, after working hard until early hours in the morning.

The selection of boot camp hopefuls didn’t get any better behaved as they started partying later on in the evening on Sunday. They raided cupboards and fridges for Simon’s vintage wines and drank all of his favourite beer which he had flown in specially!

Later on the drunk contestants decided to go for a dip in the sea, stumbling back through the home afterwards into their rooms. The group managed to wreck a £5000 Persian rug on their rampage.

An inside source said “the contestants really let their hair down when they got to the Villa on Sunday and they where drinking, singing and partying. They even got stuck into Simon’s beer, so he wasn’t happy at all when he went to get a drink the next day” the reporter continued “to make matters worse they damaged antiques in the Villa and ruined a rug”.

Earlier in the series riot police where called when contestants went on a drunken rampage through the hotel they where staying in. It seems like they are all living life before they have made it.

Simon commented on all this saying Yes, they did wake me up. And any damage will have to be paid out of their first royalty cheque if they make it. To teach them a lesson.”

Highlights from Reading and Leeds Festival

The Reading and Leeds festival is over for another year and amongst all the mud and rain there was some good and bad highlights which the punters will take away with them.

The main talking point came on the opening night (Friday) when Guns N’ Roses had the plug pulled on them.

The rule breaking band decided to fashionably turn up late at their headline gig at Reading.

When the band finally turned up at 22:30 (an hour late) they where told they would only be given a half hour extension for the lost time. Did Axl Rose and his band mates listen?… of course not, the music went on until mid night the plug was finally pulled. After it was pulled Axl and co sat down on the stage to protest.

The band have showed their frustration on Twitter, each posting some kind of angry statement regarding the situation. Ashba posted the lengthiest message which read “apparently the promoter has had a personal grudge with GN’R stemming from eight years ago, if this was the case why book the band? He knows our show. Let me guess… to take our fans money and not allow us to give them a show”.

The plug was pulled again over the weekend, it was whilst the Libertines played their comeback gig. However this time it wasn’t the bands fault, the stop came because some of the fans towards the front where being crushed.

The rock and roll band where stopped midway through one of their most well known songs and told by roadies that they had to leave the stage. Carl Barat (lead singer) told fans “Some people are getting crushed down the front. Can you move back a little bit?”

After a short break the English band came back out and finished off their set ending with huge cheers from the 80 000 crowd when Barat and Pete Doherty hugged.

Florence Welch hits the Clubs

Florence And The Machine front woman Florence Welch enjoyed a clubbing night out at a transgender venue.

The flame head pop sensation enjoyed a whole host of bizarre events which occurred throughout the night, at one point one of the transvestite strippers showed the audience exactly what sex HE is.

Florence later sung the Beetles classic Let It Be, which was a great surprise to everyone who attended, Miss Welch was assisted by a resident transvestite performer (Virgina Plaid) rather than the ‘Machine’ who she is more recognised with.

Gavin And Stacy actor Matt Horne was among the intrigued audience.

Her band, Florence And The Machine is due to perform this weekend at the two V Festival venues. And according to Florence herself it will be the bands last performance of the summer as they look to crack on with the follow up album from their first ‘Lungs’.

Flo told BANG Showbiz “we’ve not got pimped out or anything like that. I don’t like big studios” she continued, “we’ll just go back to banging pots and pans, nothings really changed, we like to start very basic and stripped back”. The band is hoping to get into the studios to record around October time.

We may see the London singer use the guitar more often in the second album as she has already expressed her desires to do so in previous talks regarding the next record.

V Festival fans will be delighted to know that they are likely to hear some new material from the band, they played two new tracks recently at Glastonbury and they will “probably include them”

Has Florence Welch been inspired into a more outrageous performance at V? Has she got any tricks up her sleeve, as it is her last few gigs? I wonder if she got in contact with Virgina Plaid ahead of the sell out festival?
