Eminem to star in a Knockout Flick Southpaw

Rapper Eminem has seen it all in his life time now he will look through the swollen eyes of a boxer as he stars in a new movie.
The film titled Southpaw is being backed by DreamWorks which means it will be a high profile film which Kurt Sutter will be helping create, Sutter created Sons Of Anarchy which went down very well.
Sutter spoke to reporters about Southpaw according to The Sun he said “I’ve had a bunch of meetings with Marshall’s producing partners, and I know he’s very selective and doesn’t do a lot.” He continued “But he shared so much of his personal struggle in this raw and very honest album ‘Recovery’, one that I connected with on a lot of levels. He is very interested in the boxing genre, and it seemed like an apt metaphor, because his own life has been a brawl”
It seems like Eminem has landed the role based on his lifestyle rather than his acting abilities, and his acting isn’t bad either as we have seen a few years back when he stared in 8 Mile.
Sutter did actually admit there are strong similarities between 8 Mile and the new flick he said “In a way, this is a continuation of the 8 Mile story, but rather than a literal biography, we are doing a metaphorical narrative of the second chapter of his life”.
Talking more about the film itself Sutter told reporters “He’ll play a world champion boxer who really hits a hard bottom, and has to fight to win back his life for his young daughter. At its core, this is a retelling of his struggles over the last five years of his life, using the boxing analogy”
Sounds like another great production and with a knock out combo of raw emotion coming from Eminem and tight realistic production from Sutter it is set to be one not to miss.
