Cheryl Cole on being an X Factor Judge

Cheryl Cole has recently explained to reporters that she never wanted to be a judge on Simon Cowell’s X-Factor show, and she also revealed how she rejected the chance to work on the judging panel when Cowell approached her the first time.
According to The Sun the 27 year old ‘Parachute’ singer said “When Simon first asked me to do The X Factor, I said, ‘Never for all the tea in China will I do The X Factor-That’s exactly the words I said to him, and he went, ‘You will, and I’ll see you in a year’s time’. And I really didn’t want to do it”.
As you may know she is currently busy judging and the proud mentor of the ‘Girls’ category in her third series of ITV’s show. She claimed the reason which stopped her before was because she didn’t want to be the person to tell people that they can’t go through.
She continued saying “But then I realised the people I do put through, I can really help them.”. And she has proved that ever since she has joined the show having two winners.
First was Alexandra Burke and most recently last year’s winner Joe McEldry, and once again she looks to have a very good chance of managing the winner in the current series having a few of the public favourites.
Cheryl also looks to be top of the singles charts to by the end of this week with her new single ‘Promise’ already shifting a staggering 92,000 copies!
She sung the new single on last week’s X-Facto results night which would have promoted the song even more. Joe McEldry doesn’t look like he is going to get his number one just yet thanks to Cheryl and Kings Of Leon who have recently had huge success with their new album ‘Come Around Sundown’.
