Tombola Bingo have just released details of a sponsorship deal between themselves and Emmerdale, which is one of the UK’s best loved soaps. If you are an Emmerdale Farm lover you will know that everything about this soap is based around their small rural community, which is what Tombola Bingo liked.
Tombola Bingo boast to have one of the most popular online bingo communities online, which is why a community based TV show obviously fitted the bill when they went looking for someone to sponsor. Emmerdale pull in around £6.5 million viewers every single night they air, which means Tombola Bingo will have the opportunity of reaching millions of viewers in one fail swoop with this deal.
Unlike the BBC who we have to pay a yearly TV Licence fee, ITV and all other channels earn most of their money through advertising and sponsorship deals like the one of the bingo cards with Tombola Bingo and Emmerdale. So you could say these kind of things can be very beneficial for both sides.

With around 100 land based bingo clubs shutting their doors for the last time over the past three years it has become a bit like a bingo lottery postcode with the UK’s towns and cities. The number of UK bingo clubs have been dwindling at an alarming rate, which means it now does depend on where you actually live (what your postcode is) as to whether you can proclaim to have a local bingo hall or not.

There has been some extreme factors affecting the bingo industry, the smoking ban in all public places hit them for six, coupled together with the UK’s taxation law on Bingo, it was inevitable really that we were going to see bingo club closures.
