Bingo Names move Upmarket

In a survey conducted by Online Bingo Club, it showed that the game of online bingo seems to be moving more upmarket (name wise) with bingo players now likely to be called Emma or Miranda, rather than (Joan or Deidre). Could it be however, that names have just changed as new generations have come along…….moving with the times and all that?

Interestingly, the survey also showed that if bingo names are anything to go by, women still make up 90% of the bingo playing market. So it was no surprise then really that out of the 200,000 + members now registered with the Online Bingo Club – The top ten most common names listed with them were ladies names.

The most common registered Online Bingo Club names were -

1. Emma
2. Claire
3. Victoria
4. Helen
5. Sarah
6. Julie / Julia
7. Fiona
8. Emily
9. Miranda
10. Elizabeth / Liz / Betty

Speaking about these latest revelations, Rob Hutchison from Online Bingo Club said, “It’s interesting to see how bingo players are changing. The game has really shed its traditional image and is becoming increasingly universal.”

The game of bingo has come on a long way since the early days that is for sure. When bingo first hit the scene the only variation that you were able to play was traditional 90 ball bingo – fast forward to the present day and players now have many different variations of the bingo game to select from including traditional 90 ball bingo (of course) plus, 75 pattern ball bingo, 80 ball bingo, multi line bingo, speed bingo and lots of themed bingo games such as deal or no deal bingo and Joker Jackpot bingo etc, etc, etc.

Most of these game variations can only be found at online bingo sites on the net like Ladbrokes Bingo for instance. Land Based bingo clubs have also moved on in this area, now offering around three different types of bingo games to play, 90 ball bingo, American style bingo and party bingo.

As we move into the future, we have no doubt that bingo will keep up the pace and with all these (high tech) bingo clubs now putting in an appearance………the bingo trend it already moving upmarket (name wise or not).
