A Posh Bingo night with Legally Blonde

Posh Bingo recently had a one off promotion for their players with a very special prize; two bingo players would win 2 tickets each for the West End musical hit Legally Blonde, which is based on the Hollywood blockbuster of the same name. On the evening of 21st January, the two winners JE55ICA and Queen82 went for the show accompanied by their guests and Leanne from Posh Bingo.

JE55ICA and Queen82 are both die hard fans of Posh Bingo. In fact, Queen82 is such a staunch supporter of the bingo site that her perfume of choice is Victoria Beckham’s ‘Posh’! JE55ICA is an old hand at winning at Posh Bingo, in the past she has won £1200 worth of high street vouchers as well as a designer purse. Nothing, however, could compare to her latest win and it was a very exciting for the two ladies and their guests as they set out for an evening of glamour and glitz.

The posh group met up at Coal Hole, a landmark pub in the West End for a quick drink to get into the mood; everyone was spruced right up, perfect hair and all. They then set out to the very glam Garfunkels Wine Bar for a bottle of bubbly and a bite to eat.

Conversation centered around Posh Bingo; Queen82 and JE55ICA swapped their favourite Posh Bingo stories and everyone agreed that it certainly paid off to play at Posh Bingo! The talk then steered towards the show they were eagerly anticipating, would Sheridan Smith be able to do justice to the role of Elle Woods or would Reese Witherspoon continue to be the definitive Elle?

The group then headed to the Savoy Theatre to their very VIP seats; they seats were so VIP that the Posh group could have leaned over and touched the performers! Before taking their seats, the group helped themselves to the Legally Blonde goodie bags, which were, as one would expect, Elle pink.

The show was everything that JE55ICA and Queen82 hoped it would be and more! Sheridan Smith stole the show with her interpretation of Elle Woods; Smith, who stars in Two Pints of Lager & A Packet of Crisps is a known face, but who would have thought that she was such a fantastic performer?

Dunce James from the boy band Blue plays Warner, the love of Elle’s life, or at least, until she meets Emmet played by theatre regular Alex Gaumond. As for ‘bend and snap’ Paulette, her role is played by Strictly Come Dancing star Jill Halfpenny. Everyone agreed that it was a very lively performance and well worth the anticipation!

JE55ICA told the Posh gang that she had never been treated so well and Queen82 agreed, saying that it was the best London show she had ever been to. “TY so much for a lovely and memorable evening me and my friend will talk about it 4 ages lol” she said, though she couldn’t wait to get back home, enjoy a bingo game and maybe win more great prizes!
